A few notes about various things,

1. The OLPC sound sample collection in lossless flac compression is
available in freepats web site:

http://freepats.zenvoid.org/olpc-sounds/

there are lots of sounds there, I'll add an index or something.

2. There is a new section for "system sounds":

http://freepats.zenvoid.org/system-sounds/

those are short sounds and tunes meant for desktop, applications,
system events, notifications, alarms, ringtones... while not related to
music production, it may be useful for free software developers.
hildon-liberty-ui is a new sounds theme I created from scratch for the
Mer project ( http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer ), using zynaddsubfx and noises
recorded with a mic.

3. I'm still working on a classical guitar soundfont. I recorded the
notes with several variations (with pick, fingers, strong and soft,
placed the mic in several positions...). The recordings are huge and
the selection and processing of the samples is taking forever, but
first impressions are good, this is a demo (sf2 with one layer and some
bugs):
